The OutBack MX60 is a very versatile 3-stage* (plus equalization) MPPT charge controller which can be used with battery banks from 12 to 60VDC. Fully adjustable set points allow use with virtually any battery type, chemistry, and charging profile. Maximum input current and maximum output (charge) current are both 60 amps. The MX60 can handle input voltages up to 120VDC (i.e. maximum open-circuit PV array) from any DC input source including wind and hydro power, and voltage can be stepped down to charge a lower voltage battery bank from a higher voltage input source. Standard is a four line, 80 character, backlit LCD display which monitors system operation and is also used for programming set points. The MX60 can also be connected to the OutBack MATE system controller and display to allow monitoring from up to 1000 feet away. It is less picky about input voltage than the Blue Sky Solar Boost controllers, but it does cost more. Two year factory warranty (extended warranty available).
